In 2021, Hermosa Beach sought a new online space to host their planning and zoning documents. In particular, they had struggled to find a way to present their comprehensive plan, PLAN Hermosa, in an interactive format that also displayed its carefully considered design elements. This plan, originally created in Adobe InDesign, finally found its home in enCodePlus due to the software’s flexible design capabilities. City and enCodePlus staff collaborated to capture the original document’s unique flow and design elements.
Their site now includes easy access to this beautiful document as well as the Municipal Code, including Zoning Regulations, and the Storm Water Low Impact Development Guide. Hermosa Beach continues to contract with enCodePlus for codification of their Municipal Code, allowing our experts to handle publishing the text updates while city staff focuses on maintaining their reputation as the “Best Little Beach City” in southern California.
