The city of Edinburg in south Texas has been working with members of Kendig Keast Collaborative since 2004, when they contracted with Lane Kendig, Inc. to review their existing ordinance documents and create a Comprehensive Plan. Later, in 2007, they utilized a new software called enCodePlus to consolidate their existing planning and zoning regulations into a Unified Development Code (UDC). Hosting the UDC project in enCodePlus allowed city staff to draft the UDC, publish the adopted version, and display their code online.
