Butte County contains over 1,500 square miles of mountains, foothills, and riverland in northern California. Since much of the population is distributed throughout the area in smaller, rural communities, County staff recognized a need to provide their citizens with easier access to a variety of planning and development documents.
The project began in 2022 with the conversion of the County’s General Plan 2030 into the enCodePlus software system. Since then, we have added:
Future goals include the implementation of a landing page that will allow citizens to explore highlights of the individual documents and easily browse among multiple sources for the information they need, all from one location.
