enCodePlus™ is unique in that enables in-house maintenance and management of codes and ordinances, and any other standards, guidelines, or plan documents. As a turn-key solution, we design and build a site and migrate MS Word content into HTML, and then train your staff to draft, edit, update, amend, archive, and publish ordinances or documents to the web. Its quick to learn and easy to use.
Your staff is provided login credentials to access a password-protected maintenance module, within which staff can use the Word-like editor (see Word-like Editor image to right) to author or revise text, tables, and graphics; browse the step-by-step User Guide (see User Guide image to right); upload or retrieve graphics or documents from a cloud-based library (see Cloud Based Library image to right); receive and respond to comments on draft ordinances/plans; publish individual sections or whole articles or chapters of a draft or official ordinance; and export a fully-formatted document to Adobe PDF or MS Word.
enCodePlus works whether:
- ordinances or codes are posted online as individual PDFs;
- the Code (with or without the zoning and land development regulations) is hosted and supplemented by a codifier; or
- the code exists in paper copy only
Not only is enCodePlus used to publish and display content online, but it is also a time-saver in drafting new or amending existing regulations. An ordinance may be collaboratively drafted and edited in the maintenance module, published to a project site for review and password-protected commenting (see Password-Protecting Commenting image to right), edited using track-changes (see Track Changes image to right), and published live upon adoption
— No more will there be a lag time between ordinance adoption and printing or publishing, or waiting for months or even a year to receive page supplements. Ordinances are drafted in the software so upon adoption they may be published to the web on the same day.
enCodePlus has an exclusive partnership with the Municipal Code Corporation (Municode) to provide a complete solution, including consultant services or consulting advice or assistance with code codification / recodification, legal conformance review, or print supplementation. Their expert services are available to enCodePlus clients whether the client code is, in part or in whole, on the enCodePlus platform. Our partnership also allows the integration of enCodePlus features (e.g., zoning code text, GIS mapping, calculators, etc.) as part of the MunicodeNEXT platform, offering the best of both platforms in one.
